The Qiu Research Group
Laboratory of Dynamic Materials

"Great facilities mean nothing...
...without great people!"
Join Us!
We are looking for creative, dedicated, and highly motivated individuals to join our laboratory group! Potential postdoctoral researchers, graduate students, undergraduate students, and research assistants who are interested in exploring new chemistry are encouraged to apply directly by contacting Dr. Qiu.
Postdoctoral Researchers
We are currently (Sep 2025 onward) looking for several outstanding postdoctoral fellows to join the group. Interested postdoctoral researchers are encouraged to send an e-mail to Dr. Qiu with a cover letter (describing a brief research summary, future research interests, and career plans), an up-to-date CV (including a publication list), and contact information (e-mail and phone number) of at least two references. Individuals with expertise in precision polymer synthesis, concerning various methods such as ATRP, RAFT, ROMP, ROP, and others, polymer physics, as well as additive manufacturing (3D printing) and electrochemical organic/polymer synthesis are encouraged to apply.
Graduate Students
We are currently recruiting Ph.D. students with fully-funded scholarships provided by the Chemistry department starting August 2026. Prospective graduate students with excellent grades (an average score above 80/100) should contact directly Dr. Qiu with a cover letter and an up-to-date CV before the 2025 Fall application deadline (Nov 15 2025).
Candidates with expertise in precision polymer synthesis, concerning various methods such as ATRP, RAFT, ROMP, ROP, and others, polymer physics, as well as additive manufacturing (3D printing) and electrochemical organic/polymer synthesis are encouraged to apply.
The following fellowships are highly encouraged to apply if potential candidates are eligible.
Undergraduate Students
Interested undergraduates who want to conduct their final year project (FYP) in Dr. Qiu's lab should write to Dr. Qiu for details.
Research Assistants
Potential candidates should contact Dr. Qiu with a cover letter (describing a brief research summary, future research interests, and career plans), an up-to-date CV (including a publication list), and contact information (e-mail and phone number) of at least two references.
